REES Co-Op Project

The REES Co-Op Project provides people with physical disabilities and/or health conditions with pre-employment training, on-the-job training and experience to aide in the transition and match participants with sustainable employment. Unlike many other programs, this project is very flexible and requires very little paperwork on the part of the employer. Funding provided by: The Manitoba Government.

The Co-Op Project through Reaching E-Quality Employment Services (REES) works with people with disabilities or health conditions to connect with employment through a paid internship/ wage subsidy for 6 months.
The goal is to match qualified participants with employment that will result in gaining financial independence, acquiring references, meeting new people, learning and utilizing new skills, along with additional non-financial benefits such as increased life satisfaction and confidence. Once the Co-Op Placement is completed, participants may be hired directly by that employer, OR since they have gained new skills and references- the benefit of gaining experience from the Co-Op placement will fuel abilities in pursuing sustainable employment opportunities elsewhere.
